MEET YOUR PHYSIO, JAMES.
James is a Physiotherapist who loves solving difficult problems and helping people get back to what they enjoy most. His first career was in law, where he spent years analysing complex issues, weighing up risks, and building clear plans of action. Now he applies the same structured, no-nonsense approach in the clinic – focusing on finding the real cause of your pain, setting specific goals, and giving you a step-by-step plan to get stronger and more confident in your body.
James also has over a decade of experience as an elite middle-distance runner, training alongside Olympic-level athletes and holding a 2 km personal best of 5:19. He also happens to hold the Strava course record along the Burnley Boulevard – an achievement he’s probably just a little too proud of. This background means he understands firsthand the demands of high-performance sport, the frustration of injury, and the discipline required for rehabilitation and return to competition. He brings this performance mindset to his work with all patients – whether their goals are running a PB, keeping up with their kids, or simply moving with less pain.
James has a particular interest in post operative rehabilitation, ACL rehab, lower-limb and running-related injuries, especially stress fractures, tendinopathies, and load-management issues. He focuses on helping people build sustainable strength and conditioning habits, and combines his analytical legal training with his sporting background to create structured, goal-focused treatment plans that are easy to understand and follow.
Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find James watching or talking about football—he’s a long-suffering, die-hard Chelsea FC supporter—getting out for a run, or hunting down good coffee.
